After struggling with inflammation and chronic skin issues for years, he discovered firsthand how powerful simple, home-cooked meals made with real ingredients could be. However, finding the right recipes — and actually following through with healthy cooking — often felt overwhelming, especially with the time pressures of student life and startup ambitions.
While studying general engineering with a minor in technology innovation and entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University, Ryan saw a deeper problem: millions of people wanted to eat healthier, but the process between watching a recipe and putting food on the table was broken. Biome was born to bridge that gap — making it effortless to discover, shop, and cook nourishing meals directly from the content people already love.
